Jean Octobon
Jean Octobon’s work can be read in his hands blackened by metal.
Stainless steel, aluminum and steel flow in his veins. Like his blacksmith boilermaker grandfather before him, Jean is dizzy with these raw materials that he likes to bend.
From his drawing teacher father, Jean Octobon inherits a passion for the arts: he studied visual arts, art history, was interested in architecture, technology and even industrial mechanics.
A child of Nice, it was just a few meters from the sea that he set up his first workshop. Design was not yet in its prime on television, but Jean Octobon was already taking on the challenge of beauty and utility. He designed, conceived and manufactured unique pieces. His autonomy is total and necessary for him who does not accept any compromise on the quality of his work. Very quickly his stairs, fireplaces, and other works take place in the beautiful villas of the south of France.
